Sami Meguetounif will graduate into F2 with Trident for 2025 season.
Meguetounif’s promotion comes after he finished eighth in his rookie F3 campaign with Trident, during which he claimed two wins albeit both on Italian soil at Imola and Monza respectively.
The 20 year-old Frenchman will remain with Trident for his move into F2 which has left him “very happy and excited” at the pace of his development.
“When twelve months ago I made my debut in the third division with the colors of the Italian team, I didn’t think I would grow so fast.
“This year I worked with strong, intelligent guys who are determined to do well. We had an incredible season, which allowed me, also thanks to two wonderful victories, to convince the people who support me that it was time to move up in category.
“I’m looking forward to the Formula 2 post-season test and entering a new phase of my career.”
Trident Team Principal, Giacomo Ricci is “very pleased” to promote Meguetounif who impressed him with his F3 performances.
“Together with the twenty-year-old born in Marseille we had the pleasure of working in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this year, achieving remarkable results. Sami Meguetounif turned out to be a winning guy.
“The transition to the higher category represents a natural transition at this stage of his career. I am sure that Sami has all the qualities to learn quickly and have a competitive season.”
