Guide to the fourth round of the 2025 F1 season which sees the grid head to Bahrain in the second race of a triple-header.
Teams and fans alike will arrive in Bahrain hoping for a more lively race after the Japanese GP failed to offer barely any quality entertainment, as Max Verstappen cut Lando Norris’ championship lead to a single point but this race will provide a test in terms of who has improved since pre-season testing at this circuit.
Now, here is everything that you need to know ahead of the 2025 Bahrain Grand Prix.

Five Key Pointers
- Unlike the pre-season test at this same circuit at end of February which saw unusually cool temperatures, teams will need to now adjust to the hot conditions expected in Bahrain this weekend.
- Williams proved surprisingly competitive around this track in pre-season and have continued that momentum into this season, so it will be interesting to see if they can mix it with the top teams come Qualifying.
- McLaren will be favourites heading into the weekend but Verstappen seems like he made a breakthrough in Japan so expect him to be in the mix if he can get his setup right.
- FP1 and FP3 won’t be representative due to taking place in hotter temperatures so expect FP2 to provide a true indicator of the pecking order heading into Qualifying.
- With several slow corners around the Bahrain International Circuit, corner speed and traction will be key to maximising the lap time.
Last Time Out
On F1’s visit to Bahrain in 2024, Verstappen led from lights to flag whilst Sergio Perez recovered from fifth on the grid to finish second in an one-two finish for Red Bull.
