A lot of attention is going to be given to the Utah Jazz ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season. With Kevin Durant rescinding his trade request that he made to the Brooklyn Nets, teams that were pursuing him will turn their attention to Donovan Mitchell.
The Jazz began taking calls on Mitchell after originally turning down any phone calls that were made for him. But, after receiving the haul that they did from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Rudy Gobert, they decided to begin taking calls on Mitchell as well.
Danny Ainge is seeking a big haul in exchange for Mitchell, and rightfully so. If he could get four first-round picks for a 30-year-old Gobert, it makes sense to seek at least that much, if not more, for a 25-year-old, three-time All-Star in Mitchell.
Right now, it still seems that the New York Knicks are in the driver’s seat to acquire him. They have the most assets to put into a package with eight first-round draft picks and multiple young players at their disposal. They have recently re-engaged the Jazz in fresh trade talks as some offers have been shared in the media.

New York has not gone all in with an offer yet, which is understandable. Their all-in offer is likely the best one that the Jazz will receive and until someone forces their hand to increase their offer, there is no reason to bid against themselves.
Who could we see push the envelope along with the Knicks? Here are three teams that must go all-in on a trade for Mitchell.
