In the central subtropical Atlantic, an area of low pressure is now producing increased shower and thunderstorm activity.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, environmental conditions appear marginally favorable for additional development, and a tropical depression is likely to form over the next couple of days before upper-level winds become less conducive later this week.
This system should generally move northward or northeastward while remaining over the open waters of the central subtropical Atlantic.
The National Hurricane Center currently gives the system a medium chance of development in the next five days.

Meanwhile, in the central tropical Atlantic, a tropical disturbance centered several hundred miles east of the southeastern Caribbean islands is producing a broad area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, gradual development of this disturbance is forecast over the next several days as it approaches the southeastern Caribbean islands, and a tropical depression could form late this week or over the weekend as the disturbance moves into the eastern and central Caribbean ea.
The National Hurricane Center currently gives the system a medium chance of development in the next five days.
