The game is the latest Shovel Knight adventure and features even more fun.
To begin, the up-to-no-good Drill Knight and his dastardly new blasts apart Shovel Knight’s campsite. Our hero grabs his Shovel Blade and starts to tunnel away after the bad guys.
And the game will always provide something new. All of the levels have been crafted and then sticked together using a proprietary generation technique. That helps provide infinite replayablity for gamers.
Along the way, you’ll meet new friends and foes. As always, the trusty Shovel Drop will help you head down. You can dig through huge amounts of dirt with the aptly named Speed Shovel.
You’ll definitely enjoy the retro and high-color pixel graphics and sound that provide a beautiful world of gameplay.
Players can select from either a swipe or button-based control system on touchscreen devices. It’s also compatible with controllers for a more console-like experienced.
As always, you’ll try to collect gems and more to upgrade your armor and shovel. You can also upgrade health, magic, and more.
Like all of the other Apple Arcade games, there are no in-app purchases or advertisements.
You can try out Apple Arcade with a one-month free trial. After that, it’s $4.99 per month. It’s also a part of all Apple One bundles.
A subscription can be shared with up to six other members of your family with Family Sharing.
Shovel Knight Dig is available to play on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
While the game looks great on the iPhone, it looks even better on the larger screen of the Apple TV. Ive only played through the first few levels, but it’s definitely something you’ll want to come back to.
