Players jumping into Overwatch 2 to take part in the game’s Junkenstein Halloween event will also be able to unlock a few goodies over the next several days. While Overwatch 2 may have done away with the loot boxes that allow fans to unlock new skins in the original, you can still earn a slew of Legendary Skins for free, including a special Winston Werewolf Skin.
To earn the Winston Werewolf Legendary Skin, players will need to connect their game to Twitch and then watch a qualifying channel for a total of six hours. There are actually two Twitch Drops active on Twitch right now, with the first being a Werewolf Spray.
You’ll unlock the Werewolf Spray after watching two hours of streams from creators playing Overwatch 2. To unlock the Winston Werewolf Skin, you’ll need to watch for another four hours after completing the Werewolf Spray. That totals up to six hours of watching streams. This skin goes along well with the free Legendary Reaper Skin that’s up for grabs right now, too.
If you want to make earning the Twitch Drops easy, you can always set up on an Overwatch 2 stream and then walk away from your computer. As long as you’re active on the page, you’ll accrue time toward your drops. It’s also worth noting that you can only earn Drops in one stream at a time, so make sure you aren’t watching multiple streams with Drops enabled to avoid any issues.
The new Twitch Drops will be active from October 25 to November 6, at 2 p.m. ET. So, make sure you set aside enough time to score all the drops and earn that free Winston Werewolf Skin before the event ends.
Later in November, Overwatch 2 and Twitch will also offer another set of drops, including a Reinhardt Mug souvenir and a Kitten Weapon Charm for Brigitte. That means Overwatch 2 players have a lot to look forward to as the first season of the game works toward its end. The end of Season One is expected to arrive later this year, so players should also do everything they can to level up the Battle Pass and unlock all the special skins, items and other goodies available within it.
If you’re just jumping into Overwatch 2 for the first time, then you can learn more about the MIT stat, as well as more about Kiriko’s abilities. Kiriko is just one of three new characters that make an appearance in Overwatch 2, and she offers similar healing abilities to other support characters like Mercy, while also offering a very different playstyle altogether.
