Charlie Dimmock is one of our favourite TV stars, hosting a ton of daytime TV shows since the beginning of her career.
She made her name on Ground Force in the late 90s, and went on to be the star of Great British Garden Revival.
Now, she is the face of BBC ’s Garden Rescue, alongside Lee Burkhill and other hosts.

But Charlie is not just known on TV for her gardening expertise – the star also appeared on a famous British soap back in the day.
In 2002, the gardening legend appeared on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks – but she was playing herself, Hello reports.

She told the Evening Standard: “I don’t think I’ll be making any career changes just yet. I’ll stick to what I know and love best: gardening.”
Though Charlie was sure to add that the guest appearance was “great fun and certainly a different experience to my normal job”.
But this isn’t the only thing Charlie has opened up about in interviews.
At one point, she was candid about an event from her private life which caused her to split up with her long-term partner.
Charlie engaged in a romance with a colleague on Ground Force – Andy Simmons, a microphone operator on the show.

In 2001, she split with viticulturalist John Mushet after 13 years when the relationship came to light.
She told the Daily Mail in 2002: “I don’t see Andy anymore, but I don’t regret what happened. You wouldn’t do anything if you kept worrying about what might go wrong.”
The star continued: “John and I had been together for a long time so when we split up I relied heavily on family and close friends,” she continued. “I’ve discovered that the most difficult after-effect of the break-up is getting into another relationship.”
