This week the US border patrol confiscated alarming quantities of fentanyl pills and methamphetamines being transported across the Mexico-United States border.
On Monday, 10,400 fentanyl pills and 6.4 pounds of meth were found being transported into the U.S. in tubes that are used for construction adhesive.

One day later, 150,000 fentanyl pills were seized after border agents found them hidden under the seats of a vehicle as it entered Arizona.
On Wednesday, US Customs and Border Protection searched a train crossing into Arizona, recovering 736,200 fentanyl pills and 196 methamphetamines.

These seizures occurred mere weeks after border agents recovered 1.5 million pills in the same location.

Mexican cartels are continuing to flood the United States’ southern border with deadly drugs, posing a serious threat to the country and its citizens.
On Wednesday, the Drug Enforcement Administration said that it has seized 50.6 million fake prescription pills laced with fentanyl and 10,000 pounds of fentanyl powder this year. The DEA reported that this quantity equals “more than 379 million potentially deadly doses,” meaning enough fentanyl has been confiscated this year to kill all the people in America.
Overall, the DEA recovered more than double the amount of fentanyl they did in 2021.
The DEA has tried to alert US citizens to the dangers of fentanyl, warning that it is the ‘deadliest drug threat facing this country.”

“It is a highly addictive man-made opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin. Just two milligrams of fentanyl, the small amount that fits on the tip of a pencil, is considered a potentially deadly dose,” the DEA reported.
Fentanyl is only wreaking havoc on its users but also on those unintentionally exposed to the deadly drug.

Just this week a woman in Maryland pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter after her two-year-old son was killed by fentanyl. The child, Grayson, died in 2020 after his parents used a contaminated bathroom to prepare his feeding bottles.
The mother, Heather Marie Frazier, was sentenced to five years in prison followed by a five-year supervised suspension.

In Ozark, Missouri, a 17-year-old boy named Jaboc Sayre is being tried as an adult after giving a girl ecstasy laced with fentanyl. Victoria Jones, a high school sophomore, overdosed and died from the drugs.
