The Christmas day matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies is over, but the feud between Klay Thompson and Dillon Brooks continues. After the Dubs dominated the Grizzlies, their star shooting guard Thompson talked about his in-game back and forth with Brooks that eventually got him a technical.
“It’s just some good old fashion trash talk,” Thompson told reporters. “I didn’t think it warranted a technical, but I forgot about the taunting rule. It is always fun to talk trash. We have been doing that since we were in middle school. That is when you either play at your best or you get frazzled. For me, it is usually the former.”

Thompson viewed it as fun and games, but his opponent didnt see things the same way. Brooks did not appreciate the four-time NBA champion’s behavior on the court.
“The refs let it happen,” Brooks said. “He was doing it all game, and then they want to catch the bad guy. That’s wack to me. F##king up calls, and putting the wrong guys on the free throw line, it was a circus. Should have had different refs.”
The next matchup between these two teams is on Jan 26th inside the Chase Center, and you can count on the feud between Klay Thompson and Dillon Brooks to continue.
