Jamaica’s most loved pot-still rum line Rum-Bar Jamaica, is staging “Vibes Fest”, an island-wide series that kicked off on December 23 at Skateland, Halfway Tree, St Ann.
The free concert series set to go live between 6 pm and 12am was jam-packed with a line-up of artistes, including Money Pon My Mind singer Jahvillani and Bad Gyal singer Stalk Ashley, among others.
ZJ Chrome and host TC will be bringing the vibes for Christmas and into the New Year.
We sat down with the former Spice dancer, host, and entertainer Keticia ‘TC’ Chatman.
What does taking on the role of host for a major event as this one mean for your career?
TC: I haven’t done anything as big as hosting a major concert series before. I’m excited to be on the road and meet the Rum-Bar fans and of course bring the vibes!
How long have you been affiliated with Rum Bar?
TC: Our relationship started in 2020 when I was featured in a Rum-Bar TV commercial. Then in January, I became their brand ambassador, and now being able to host is a great opportunity for me. I’m hoping to do more with them as I grow as a brand.
What do you hope to see on the line-up?
TC: I hope to see more up-and-coming artistes. There’s so much good dancehall music, and as an entertainer, I love hearing different sounds that inspire me to create.
Will there be bucket deals?
TC: They will have $1200 Rum-Bar bucket deals! The Rum-Bar brand of rums comprises of its leading brand Rum-Bar White Overproof Rum, a traditional blend of three un-aged rums at a 63% ABV, Rum-Bar Gold Rum, a rich Jamaican aged rum that is delicious neat or mixed, Rum-Bar Rum Cream, Rum-Bar Silver, all distilled using a 100% copper pot-still, and Rum-Bar Vodka: Classic and Green Apple flavours. So there will be a lot to choose from!
What other stops are on the series?
TC: Other stops in the series scheduled for the New Year include Portland, St James and St Elizabeth. Check @rumbarjamaica on Instagram or other social media for details.
