Between the overwater bungalows and opulent resorts on private islands, it’s no wonder why the Maldives is one of the most sought-after destinations for award redemptions.
Although the Maldives monsoon season runs from mid-May through November, during much of this time, there’s widespread standard room award space at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, as first reported by Frequent Miler.
Better yet, the Conrad Maldives recently reopened after a multiyear, multimillion-dollar renovation.
At the time of writing, you can book almost any night between May 10 and Sept. 30 for 120,000 points. At the Conrad Maldives, the standard room is a 1,600-square-foot beach villa.
If you have Hilton Honors elite status, even entry-level Silver status, you’re eligible for the fifth-night-free benefit, which can effectively reduce this price slightly when you book award stays of five nights or more.
Five nights here cost 480,000 points (worth $2,880 at TPG’s valuations). Cash rates are around $600 per night when there’s standard room award space, but with the 10% service fee and local taxes (waived on award stays), you’ll be redeeming your points above our valuations if you decide to book this award.

Bottom line
While Hilton Honors status won’t get you an upgrade at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island (unfortunately, the resort is exempt from elite status upgrades), the standard beach villa, which you can book for 120,000 points, is unlikely to disappoint.
With ample award space, now is the time to book. Use the fifth-night-free benefit if you’re an elite member. If something comes up, you can cancel and get your points back, as long as you do so with a two-week notice on most award bookings.
