A Section 60 stop and search was issued covering parts of West London after a man was stabbed and gun shots were fired in 2 separate incidents. In response the Met Police made the decision on Wednesday (April 6) to increase officers powers to search people around Northolt in Ealing.
In the first incident, according to police on Tuesday (April 5) at 11.45pm officers were called to Dabbs Hill Lane, Northolt after they received reports of a firearms discharge. However when officers arrived there was no sign of a injured parties and no arrests were subsequently made.
Then at 12.16am on Wednesday police rushed to Mandeville Road, Northolt after reports of a stabbing. Officers at the scene found an 18-year-old victim with a stab injury to his face and he was rushed to hospital a by London Ambulance Service crew where his injury was assessed as not life-threatening.

Despite both incidents leading to the Section 60 being issued police have said there is nothing to suggest they are linked. The Section 60 was in place from 8pm on Wednesday to 6am Thursday (April 7) morning.
In a statement from police relating to the gun fire, a spokesperson said: “Police were called at 11.45pm on Tuesday, 5 April to reports of a firearms discharge in Dabbs Hill Lane, Northolt. Officers attended. No injuries were reported. Enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made.”
Following the stabbing at Mandeville Road, a spokesperson for the Met said: “Police were called at 12.17am on Wednesday, 6 April to reports of a stabbing in Mandeville Road, Northolt. Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found an 18-year-old man with a stab injury to his face.
“He was taken to hospital where his injury was assessed as not life-threatening. Enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made.”
