Hull City welcome Championship play-off chasing West Bromwich Albion to MKM Stadium in Friday Night Football.
Victory would see Hull climb to 13th in the table and move to within nine points of the play-offs, whilst West Brom can improve to eighth with a win.
Team News
Allahyar Sayyadmanesh is set to return for Hull after two months out with a hamstring injury.
Cyrus Christie (knee) is a doubt but Matt Ingram (hamstring), Jean Michael Seri, Dimitrios Pelkas (both groin), Ryan Woods (unspecified) and Aaron Connolly (toe) remain absent.
West Brom will be without Grady Diangana after he suffered a foot injury during their home win over Middlesbrough last weekend.
Jake Livermore is a doubt due to illness but is likely to not be risked with view of featuring in Tuesday’s home game against Wigan instead.
Alex Palmer (knee/ankle), Kean Bryan (knee), Kyle Bartley (muscle), Tom Rogic, Brandon Thomas-Asante (both hamstring), Matt Phillips and Karlan Grant (both quad) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Hull host West Brom at MKM Stadium in a 8pm GMT kick-off on Friday 3 March, live on Sky Sports in UK.
Stat Attack
- Hull have won just one of their last seven meetings against West Brom (W1, L6).
- West Brom have won two of their last seven visits to Hull (W2, D3, L2).
- Hull have conceded three goals in their last two home matches against West Brom without scoring (L2).
- Liam Rosenior’s Tigers have kept clean sheets in each of their last three home matches (W2, D1).
- West Brom have conceded 10 goals in their last three away matches in all competitions, of which six conceded goals came after half-time.
Prediction
Currently in another slump amidst serious injury issues, Hull will be disappointed to have not snatched a third goalless draw in four matches after a mixture of poor end product and a handball cost them at Bristol City.
West Brom meanwhile were absolutely excellent on the counter-attack against Middlesbrough with two quick-fire goals, before they defended superbly to protect their lead to the final whistle but I do expect them to look to come out and dominate this game.
In fact, I do expect the Baggies to come out and dominate but if Hull can defend as well as they did last weekend and avoid another handball error, they could do enough for a draw given their goalscoring form at home.
Prediction: Hull 1-1 WBA
