‘Neat transfer’ predicted for seat of Swan

Sky News Political Reporter Tom Connell has used the latest YouGov poll to break down key battleground seats in the federal election.

Labor candidate for the seat of Swan Zaneta Mascarenhas is expected to gain nine per cent in the primary vote and defeat Liberal candidate Kristy McSweeney, according to the YouGov poll.

“What you’re seeing is a pretty neat transfer from the Liberal party to the ALP, they don’t have to rely on any preferences beyond the Greens,” Mr Connell said.

Mr Connell said YouGov’s analysis, which involves the “blending” of polling data, hasn’t been done before in Australia.
