A selection of work by Australian artist Lucy Ray (previously featured here). Set in bleak and desolate environments, Ray’s highly detailed graphite drawings are populated with uncanny objects and figures that appear out of place. She looks for narratives in the natural world and small everyday things as a way of exploring ideas of loneliness, nostalgia and notions of sonder and liminality. See more images below!
