The Powerball drawing on Saturday night did not yield a grand prize winner for the estimated $20 million jackpot, which has a cash value of $11.6 million. The jackpot recently reset after a Vermont player won $366.7 million on Wednesday.
The next drawing will take place on Monday, and the jackpot will grow to an estimated $26 million with a $15.1 million cash option.
The winning lottery numbers drawn on Saturday, July 2, were 9, 10, 37, 59, 62 with a red Powerball of 26. The Power Play was 3X.
Although there were no grand prize winners for the latest Powerball drawing one player became an instant millionaire.
A player from California hit the Match 5 and won $1 million. If the ticket holder would have hit the Match 5 with a Power Play, they would have won $2 million.
There were also several smaller monetary prizes that resulted from the Saturday night Powerball drawing. There were nine players who hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball and won $50,000 each.
Meanwhile, three players hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball with a Power Play and won $150,000.
The rest of the winnings from the latest lottery drawing ranged between $4 and $300. A total of 451,788 players won prizes from the Saturday night jackpot.
The latest drawing comes after a player in Vermont took a jackpot that had a cash option of $208.5 million. It marked the first Powerball jackpot win for the state of Vermont.
Lottery winners need to match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers must be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.
There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot. Powerball drawings take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
