This summer, Everton has made an offer to Chelsea regarding the acquisition of Armando Broja.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, the Toffees are eager to move forward this year, with Frank Lampard motivated to move the team up the Premier League standings.
Everton was entrusted with earning money as part of their intentions to rebuild, which they accomplished by selling Richarlison to Tottenham for a rumoured sum in the range of £60 million.
As a result, Sky Sports says that Broja is one of the players the team is targeting in their search for a new striker.
The 20-year-old joined Chelsea’s youth program, and during the 2021–2022 season, a loan to Southampton gave him his first taste of English football.
Broja scored nine goals in 38 appearances in all competitions while he was on the south coast, an impressive total given his young age.
As a result, interest in the Blue’s talent has increased, with clubs like West Ham United and Newcastle also rumoured to be interested.
Several teams, including the Hammers, are hunting for a striker ahead of the upcoming campaign, and according to Anton Ferdinand, Broja possesses all the traits necessary to succeed.
Ferdinand responded in the affirmative when asked by The Boot Room if a move for Broja would appeal.
“He’s not as speedy as [Michail] Antonio, but he has the qualities to be a team focal point and hold up play.
“I view it as a good fit for the style that West Ham plays, and as he proved in the first half of last season, he knows where the goal is,” the author said.
