Airbus has appointed Stephen Forshaw as the company’s new chief representative for Australia and New Zealand, with effect 1 August 2022. Based in Canberra, he will be responsible for representing Airbus at a corporate level in both countries, covering all the Airbus divisions. He will report to Anand Stanley, president Airbus Asia-Pacific.
An Australian citizen, Forshaw joins Airbus from Singapore investment company Temasek, where he has been concurrently Global Head of Public Affairs and Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, overseeing investment activities and institutional relationships. Prior to this he held senior roles at Singapore Airlines and Microsoft Asia-Pacific. He has direct experience working in the government with the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly, where he held several advisory roles including as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Chief Minister.
Commenting on the appointment, Stanley said: “Stephen brings significant knowledge in public affairs, communications, aeronautics and general management, as well as strong experience in the Asia-Pacific region. We look forward to him strengthening even further the wider position of Airbus in these two key markets.”
