Ziplines in Harkerville ~ There are so many reasons to visit the Garden Route – beaches, mountains, forests, and towns. And, in September 2020, another awesome attraction was added to the mix.
After years of challenges (including the Knysna fires and the Covid-19 lockdown), this zipline adventure is finally ready for adrenalin-junkies and adventurers.
The ziplines in Harkerville are situated in the gorge of the Kranshoek hiking trail between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna. Together, the four lines have a total length of 2.2 kilometres.
The longest is 700 metres long and the highest has you soaring 200 metres above the beautiful landscapes below. Two more cables are expected to be added before the end of 2020.
The New Ziplines in Harkerville
The ziplines in Harkerville are excellent for travellers that love a little adrenalin, but also for those that want to experience the gorgeous mountains and valleys of the Garden Route at impressive heights and speeds.
This is all within the Garden Route National Park, which is home to breath-taking forests and exquisite endemic fynbos.
Some of the local wildlife that can be spotted between ziplines include the Cape clawless otter, dolphins, baboons, southern-right whales and bush pigs.
While leopards tend to be shy, they live here and may occasionally be seen in their natural habitat too.
