After many date changes and postponements, Batn El Hoot has officially made it to our screens. With a collection of great actors, the series was highly anticipated. After watching its first 3 episodes, we can safely say it didn’t disappoint. Despite some editing and directorial slip-ups, the series is very much worth a watch. Here are five things that proved to us it’s a promising production!
The Guest Appearances:
Ahmed Dash, Ahmed Fahmy, and Amina Khalil were some of the special guest appearances throughout the first three episodes. Casting big stars in fixed roles and having few unnecessary characters is refreshing!
Bassem Samra’s Acting Range:
Apparent in his latest works and over the past decade, Bassem has shown great range in several roles, and he continues that in “Batn El Hoot”. His character has a stereotype, but we know for a fact that there will be some change or deeper revelations allowing Bassem to show off his acting skills, and we can’t wait for that to unravel.
The Rising Stars:
From Essam Omar and Ahmed Abu Zeid to Tarnim and Hagar El Sarag, rising stars are given the space they deserve to shine and are carrying crucial parts of the plot. Thanks to their acting skills, character impersonation, and custom designing, they’re all shining through their roles and owning a huge part of why this series is attention-grabbing.
The Character Arcs:
Mohamed Farrag, Asmaa Abul Yazid, Samah Anwar, and Basma gave us so little information about their characters despite how layered each one is. From excellent acting skills to interesting storylines, we believe each character has a drastic arc or deep dive just around the corner.
Strong and Consistent Storyline:
Three episodes into the series, it’s safe to say that the pace is consistent, the storyline is intriguing, and the dynamic and structure of each episode are well-constructed. There’s nothing too fast or too slow about the episodes. While the flashbacks were confusing to some people, they’ll make sense gradually -as apparent in episode 3.
Have you watched the first 3 episodes or not? What do you think?
