MBM New Zealand wins big

MBM New Zealand has been awarded Agency of the Year at the coveted AUNZ 2023 Google Honours Program, as well as Best in Show and Best Market Innovation at the Global Publicis Performance Awards 2023.

The Agency of the Year award, secured by MBM New Zealand for the second year running, acknowledges the achievements of the very best in performance marketing agencies and providers across Australia and New Zealand.

Having won Agency of the Quarter and an individual award in Q4 2023, MBM New Zealand was privileged to have three seats at the recent Google Honours Summit in San Francisco. The week-long experience involved a lineup of speakers including Jason Spero, VP Global Product Solutions, Lauren Abney, Business Strategist of AI and Seamas Leddy, Global Head of SA360.

The MBM New Zealand team was able to workshop alongside award winners from across AUNZ, explore Googleplex and soak up information on AI and the future of Search, the importance of short form video, innovations in the creative space and measurement.

Additionally, MBM New Zealand was also awarded Best in Show and Best Market Innovation at the Global Publicis Performance Awards 2023 for their exceptional work on The Griffin’s Food Company’s ‘Profoundly Deep” campaign for Eta Ridges, which leveraged a custom Large Language Model API to source catchy copy for dynamic creative.

Both accolades were awarded in recognition of successfully addressing a complex client challenge and executing a groundbreaking performance campaign, celebrating data-driven media work that drives MBM New Zealand forward.

MBM New Zealand’s work on ‘Profoundly Deep’ was also celebrated at the 2023 IAB New Zealand Digital Advertising Awards, where they won Silver for Best Use of Technology.

MBM New Zealand Group Search Director, Charlotte Lobo commented on the awards, “2023 was a tough year so this win feels extra special for our team. We are grateful to have clients that believe in what Search can do for their business and a Google team that ensures we’re up to date on the latest trends and products.

“We love the Google Honours program as it aligns with our Think Beyond motto and offers us a platform to improve, innovate and inspire! Here’s to doing more great work for our clients this year.”

MBM New Zealand CEO, Lee-Ann Morris said, “I couldn’t be prouder of our agency for achieving both regional and global recognition in the digital realm. These wins are a testament to the dedication, creativity, and expertise of our team. Their commitment to outstanding work continues to propel us forward, shaping the future of our industry and exceeding expectations at every turn.”

Clear examples do more than decorate an explanation: they show how an idea behaves under recognizable conditions. In education and software documentation alike, strong illustrations begin with a defined goal, then reveal the steps, assumptions, and result without unnecessary detail. A practical test example should state the input, expected output, and boundary condition, because these elements show whether a rule works beyond the simplest case. Including a contrasting case also helps readers distinguish a valid application from a tempting but incorrect one, while concise notes explain why the outcomes differ. When examples are updated with current data and checked against the underlying rule, they remain useful across classrooms, product guides, and professional training.
