Two men have been charged in relation to the death of Taranaki man Jacob Ramsay.
Ramsay was found outside a rural Oaonui property on 31 July.
Police have now arrested a 39-year-old man and an 18-year-old man.
“While we have arrested the two people we allege are directly involved in Jacob’s death, we continue to piece together a timeline of Jacob’s movements prior to his death,” detective inspector Brent Matuku said.
“We want to talk to anyone who witnessed a physical altercation involving Jacob in Ōakura township at around 5pm on Friday 29 July.”
Anyone who saw a silver 2005 Peugeot station wagon in in Ōakura about the same time or who saw it in the coastal area that evening were also asked to come forward.
Information can be given via 105, using the file number 220731/0100 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
The two men are due to appear in the New Plymouth District Court today.
