When is the next Mamelodi Sundowns match? Full details here

There’s no rest for the most ambitious. Mamelodi Sundowns are preparing for the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals against the University of Pretoria.

NEDBANK CUP: UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA VS MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

The quadruple is still on. The DStv Premiership champions won the African Football League in 2023 before a step was taken towards the Premier Soccer League title with a 1-0 win over Cape Town Spurs on Tuesday. Sundowns will now switch focus to the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals. Rulani Mokwena‘s side will take on Tshwane neighbours University of Pretoria, also known as AmaTuks. The game comes exactly a week after Sundowns beat Young Africans in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

The game is tomorrow night, Friday 12 April, at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. Kick-off will be at 19:00.

CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WIN

Winning the final eight match in the CAFCL is a remarkable feat and honour. The South African champions have also bagged a decent sum of cash.

The tie ended goalless after two legs to allows penalty kicks to decide the clash. Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams saved two crucial penalties to seal a 3-2 win. Financially, the result meant Kabo Yellow have bagged $1.2 million (R22.4 million) prize money for making the semi-finals. The price could increase to $2 million (R37.4 million) for winning the semifinals, and $4 million (R75 million) for winning the final.

Meanwhile, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) disallowed what had looked like a wonderful goal from Young Africans’ Stephane Aziz Ki. According to VAR, the 58th shot did beat Williams, but the entire circumference of the ball did not cross the line, as per VAR rules. Yanga’s coach, Miguel Gamoundi, was rather furious and later told the media that his team was robbed.

“Yeah, and I can’t find words to appease him, of course, the feeling [of being robbed] like any other coach… I would rather on my side be extremely complimentary of the opposition instead of taking that direction,” Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena told iDiskiTimes.

“Because there was a lot of other situations, like the elbow and Divine Lunga inside the box and that could have been a penalty.

“So I don’t want to talk about those things, maybe if I had lost maybe I would also take that direction. But let me be gracious and respectful in victory and and say that they were worthy opponents, a good side and when we enjoyed playing against both home and away,” the Sundowns mentor concluded.

Nevertheless, the AFL champions will take on Tunisian giants Esperance in the semi-final stage. The first leg will be held the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi, Tunis on Friday 17 April. The second leg will head to Tshwane at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on 26 April.

Clear examples do more than decorate an explanation: they show how an idea behaves under recognizable conditions. In education and software documentation alike, strong illustrations begin with a defined goal, then reveal the steps, assumptions, and result without unnecessary detail. A practical test example should state the input, expected output, and boundary condition, because these elements show whether a rule works beyond the simplest case. Including a contrasting case also helps readers distinguish a valid application from a tempting but incorrect one, while concise notes explain why the outcomes differ. When examples are updated with current data and checked against the underlying rule, they remain useful across classrooms, product guides, and professional training.
