William Saliba, Ibrahima Konate and Alphonse Areola are the three Premier League players included in France squad for UEFA Euro 2024.
Arsenal’s defender, Saliba has been included in the squad after producing a strong campaign of consistent performances, during which he scored twice and created one assist amidst 18 clean sheets.
Liverpool’s Konate has also been included in defence whilst West Ham goalkeeper, Areola is also part of the squad.
Ex Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante has been handed a shock return in midfield after a two-year absence, having scored four goals in 41 appearances for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad, with his return coming two years after he last represented his country.
There is no place for Crystal Palace’s in-form Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise despite late calls for their inclusions in the squad, with Mateta having scored 10 goals in 12 matches since Oliver Glasner took charge in late February.
Kylian Mbappe heads the French attack with ex Arsenal and Chelsea forward, Olivier Giroud also selected in the squad.
France will host Luxembourg in Metz then Canada in Bordeaux on 5 and 9 June in warm-up friendlies prior to their Euro 2024 opener, where they will face Austria in Dusseldorf on Monday 17 June at 9pm CEST.
