IEC commissioner Dr Nomsa Masuku is accused of stealing funds aimed to benefit students
Nomsa Masuku, an Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) commissioner, stands accused of diverting scholarship money to unqualified recipients, including a member of her own family.
Masuku, 62, who has a PhD in Applied English Linguistics from the University of Birmingham, UK, appeared in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crime Court sitting in Palm Ridge after she was arrested by the Hawks on Friday morning.
