Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund is proud to recognize Gwendolyn Edwards for her volunteer service to single parents in Ouachita County.
For nearly 20 years, she has assisted in fundraisers, applicant interviews, and awards ceremonies. She has also worked with the mentoring committee to assist scholarship recipients to organize their schedules while trying to work and go to school.
Once a single parent herself, Gwendolyn is called to help as many single parents as possible to achieve their goals so that they can make a better future for their families.
Gwendolyn first became involved with ASPSF in 2005, when community leaders came together to organize the Ouachita County Single Parent Scholarship Fund. She served as board secretary.
This outstanding volunteer has worked for 19 years at the Central Arkansas Development Council. She is a supervisor for the Family/Community Enrichment Program, covering Ouachita, Calhoun, Dallas, Hot Spring, and Clark counties.
ASPSF is so thankful for the help, support, and knowledge she brings as a volunteer. Thank you, Gwendolyn, for supporting so many single parent scholars!
