Wellington’s Hemisphere and Big River Creative have announced a rangapū (partnership) that establishes a unique dual leadership structure.
Talented creative leader, Te Awanui Reeder (Ngāi Te Rangi, Nga Pōtiki, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Kahungunu) steps into the pivotal Pae Ārahi role at Hemisphere while continuing as Director of Big River Creative.
“We’re creating a real and fearless Tiriti-dynamic relationship that preserves the mana motuhake of both agencies while amplifying our strengths as a single team,” explains Reeder.
“We’re not just combining resources — we’re reimagining how agencies can work together in Aotearoa,” adds Dr Tim Antric, Kaiarataki of Hemisphere. “This rangapū brings kotahitanga (unity) to life by blending our integrated creative, media and consulting expertise with BRC’s exceptional cultural leadership, design and production capabilities. We’re transforming how agencies collaborate to benefit clients and communities.”
Broadens offerings
The partnership significantly broadens offerings with enhanced capabilities in:
- Culturally focused advertising and design solutions
- Cultural capacity building
- Kaupapa Māori approaches
- Social media content creation and community management
- Social and behaviour change marketing
All services are underpinned by deep cultural expertise and authentic engagement with Māori, Pasifika, Asian, and diverse communities across Aotearoa.
Perfect fusion
Operating from shared offices in the heart of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, the partnership perfectly fuses Hemisphere’s strategic thinking and integrated campaign expertise with BRC’s award-winning design, notably in graphic design, videography, and UX design.
Together, they deliver a seamless blend of Hemisphere’s “ambidextrous thinking” and BRC’s commitment to “high quality, at speed with aroha.”
For clients, this innovative model offers unprecedented access to comprehensive capabilities across strategy, creative, digital, media, and cultural engagement, all through a single, streamlined relationship.
“This isn’t just about growth; it’s about creating meaningful change through services that genuinely connect with diverse communities,” adds Antric. “Together, we’re setting a new standard for culturally authentic, strategically sound creative work that wins heads and hearts.”
