Toronto Police Service are requesting the public’s help identifying a male suspect in an assault probe.

Cops say on Monday around 7 p.m., they responded to a call for an assault in progress at Wellesley subway station.

It’s reported that the victim and suspect were on board the northbound subway train, and became engaged in a physical fight and when the train doors opened at Wellesley, they exited onto the platform.
It’s further reported the suspect kicked the victim several times before fleeing the station and the victim sustained life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a male, 6’0 tall and wearing a black horizontal puffer jacket with the hood pulled up.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed or recorded the incident to please contact police.

Police seize coke, meth and more, lay charges in Hamilton shooting
Charges have been laid in connection with a May 9, 2025, shooting at a business located in the Main Street East and East Avenue South are of Hamilton.

Cops say on Friday, search warrants were executed at a residence in Ancaster in relation to the shooting investigation, as well as an ongoing drug investigation.
As a result, detectives seized a significant quantity of illicit drugs and related items and two individuals were arrested, one of whom has been charged in connection to the May 2025 shooting.

Among the items seized was approximately 6.5 kilograms of cocaine, 80 grams of fentanyl, 280 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 9mm ammunition, cellular phones and digital scales.
Mahamud Ibrahim, 45, of Hamilton, has been charged with 14 firearm-related offences, three drug-related offences and one count each of proceeds of crime under $5,000 and aggravated assault.
Marcela Manriquez, 39, of Hamilton, has been charged with three drug-related charges and one of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Knife-wielding teens charged in bear spray attack
Hamilton Police have charged two youths, aged 15 and 17, in connection with a violent incident that occurred on the East Mountain.
Cops say last Wednesday around 8:45 p.m., they went to a residence on East 14th Street and found a 15-year-old male suffering from the effects of bear spray exposure, as well as an adult male who had been threatened with a knife.
Through investigation, officers learned that the youth victim had arrived in the area by rideshare to meet a friend and upon exiting the vehicle, he was confronted by a group of male youths who were brandishing knives and bear spray.
The victim was sprayed and fled on foot, with the group pursuing him and sought refuge by entering a nearby vehicle belonging to an unsuspecting resident who was clearing snow at the time.

The suspects gained access to the vehicle and continued to spray the victim inside.
When the vehicle owner intervened, he was threatened at knifepoint and stood his ground while his wife and infant were nearby.
The suspects eventually fled the area and the youth victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
Police later arrested two male youth allegedly involved in the incident and charged them with multiple offences, including uttering threats to cause death, administering a noxious substance, and assault with a weapon.
