One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson brought her film, A Super Progressive Movie, to Melbourne’s Crown Casino last night for a double screening.
The showing, cancelled after an occupational health and safety petition from staff was presented to Village Cinemas, was promptly put back on after Hanson herself contacted the venue, having complained online — and inevitably generated headlines — that it had been cancelled by “super progressives”.
After what could only be described as a flip-flop on workers’ safety, some Village Cinemas employees still walked out in protest, appearing to leave the event to be run by unequipped senior staff.
