The federal government invited 36 Months — the lobby group behind Australia’s teen social media ban — to do paid promotion of the very policy it had campaigned for, according to emails obtained by Crikey.
Crikey understands 36 Months submitted a bid after being approached by the Communications Department, but that it did not win a contract to provide communications services for the ban.
36 Months was founded by NovaFM radio host Michael “Wippa” Wipfli and FINCH founder Rob Galluzzo, whose advertising firm Crikey revealed had at one point simultaneously worked on producing gambling commercials as the ban.
