The big debate before the international break was over Estevao – how Chelsea get him into the team, and how patient he’s willing to be.

Chelsea favourite Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been speaking about one of the big debates at the club right now – how to get brilliant young winger Estevao more minutes in the team.
So far, the Brazilian hasn’t been able to crack the in form front three of Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro.
Hasselbaink wants to see formation shift to get Estevao involved
“Don’t get me wrong, we have got up front three really good players for Chelsea in Pedro, Palmer and Rogers, but why can we not have four? Can we get the fourth one in? I’d love to see Estêvão on the pitch soon. I think he’s exceptional,” Hasselbaink said.
Jimmy is echoing the thoughts of many Chelsea fans. But it’s usually not a sensible path to go down. To change the entire system we’ve been working on since Alonso arrived to accommodate one player would be crazy when it only takes one injury to any of the four attackers mentioned to put us right back where we are now.
The best thing is for Estevao to just be patient – there’s a lot of season left for him to make his breakthrough.
In other news…
Morgan Rogers is an exceptional player, and his running stats are as off the charts as his goals and assists.
We’re already thinking ahead to next weekend and which players who have been on international duty might be struggling to be ready for the Bournemouth game.
