I wish I had the magic stick to change things – Bibiani Gold Stars coach Petros Koukouras

Bibiani Gold Stars coach Petros Koukouras says he wishes he had a “magic stick” to immediately turn around the club’s fortunes after their goalless draw with Vision FC.

The Miners were held to a 0-0 draw in matchweek five at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday, leaving them 15th on the league table with four points.

Koukouras acknowledged the frustration among the supporters while insisting that transforming the team will take time.

“I have nothing to say. You know, they (fans) were furious and they were very right. Everyone in the team was furious. They have every right to be demanding. This team must be a winning team. We are trying towards to change the things around. I am only with the players for two and a half months,” he told Gold Stars TV.

“So I wish I had the magic stick that I can change things and make everything perfect. But it’s not so easy. I’m new in the country. I’m new in the league. I’m learning the players. I’m learning the team. The team is learning me. And let’s see where I’m going to be at the end of the season,”

Gold Stars will face Basake Holy Stars on October 11.
