Data compiled by researchers at Johns Hopkins University in the United States show that as of Saturday, more than 600 million coronavirus cases had been confirmed around the world.
The United States topped the list with more than 94 million cases, followed by India with over 44 million and France with about 35 million.
Japan ranked 10th with more than 18 million cases.
The World Health Organization says the number of new cases around the world is on the decline.
However, the true figures may be increasing, as some countries are not properly equipped to thoroughly test their people, and there are also countries that are not carrying out as many tests as before.
