Fox News host John Roberts announced that Hall was injured while newsgathering in the area.
Hall, a British journalist working for Fox News, has been hospitalized following the injury, Roberts said.
Very few details are known right now, Roberts added. Details on the reporter’s condition or the circumstances around the injury weren’t immediately available.
“Teams on the ground are working as hard as they can to try to gather more information,” he said.
“Reminder that this is in a war zone, that information changes very quickly, and we are working as hard as possible to get the best information that we possibly can and get all of the details on what has happened,” Roberts added.
He continued: “The safety of our FOX team, of course, is of the utmost importance, and our highest priority.”
A Fox News spokesperson referred Insider to the network’s on-air report about the injury and said there were no further updates as of Monday afternoon.
During a dispatch from Kyiv on March 8, Hall pushed back on “The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld, who said the media was trying to drum up an “emotional response” to the bombings in Ukraine.
“Speaking as someone on the ground, I want to say that this is not the media trying to drum up some emotional response,” Hall said on the same show. “This is absolutely what’s happening.”
