It will complete one of the most acclaimed puzzle trilogies on any platform.
In case this is your first brush with Blue Brain Games’s classic series, The House of Da Vinci 3 is a 3D environmental puzzler that sees you manipulating machines and solving brain teasers in renaissance Italy.
And not just any old renaissance Italy. As the name suggests, you’ll rub shoulders with Leonardo himself. That means you’ll encounter dozens of incredibly elaborate contraptions, colorful characters, and ingenious inventions. There’s even a time machine.
The House of Da Vinci 3 casts you in the role of Giacomo, Leonardo’s long-suffering apprentice.
It begins where the previous game left off, with Giacomo being attacked by hoodlums. It’s a dramatic beginning to an adventure that’s bookended by an even more dramatic conclusion – if you make it that far.
En route to the end you’ll search for Leonardo, cross paths with the secretive Ordo Lustitialis, and even jump backwards and forwards in time.
The House of Da Vinci 3 is a tricky puzzler, but it comes with a generous and well-judged hint system that gives you a nudge in the right direction whenever you need it.
Gameplay-wise, The House of Da Vinci 3 has a lot in common with The Room, Fireproof’s highly lauded puzzle game series.
It’s a lot more ambitious, though, taking the basic 3D puzzling template and adding a dramatic storyline, along with a few generous splashes of action.
There are cutscenes, too, and Blue Brain Games has taken a new approach to these by using motion capture to bring everything to life.
Like the other games in the series, The House of Da Vinci 3 has gone down a storm with gamers, racking up an impressive 4.8 average user rating on the App Store.
So if you’re an Android gamer you’re now able to see what all the fuss is about. You can download House of Da Vinci 3 on iOS and Android now.
