The defending African champions were drawn against the Moroccan giants on Tuesday, as they look to push for a third successive continental title.
However, the club have confirmed that they have sent a request to Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy for the encounter to be played in full capacity.
“Al Ahly SC sent an official letter to Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, requesting that Al Ahly’s game against Raja Casablanca to be played in full capacity of the stadium,” the statement read.
“Al Ahly will host Raja in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals on April 16 at 9:00 PM.”
These two sides last met in the CAF Super Cup last year, with Pitso Mosimane’s charges walking with the title after a penalty shoot-out victory.
