All Blacks coach Ian Foster has unveiled his 23-man squad to take on Argentina in their opening Rugby Championship test of 2023.
Foster had some tricky decisions, especially in the backs without two of the Super Rugby Pacific champion Crusaders, Will Jordan and Leicester Fainga’anuku.
Both were ruled out before departure last Sunday, Jordan with ongoing headaches and Fainga’anuku with a calf injury.
The All Blacks look to maintain their unbeaten record against the Pumas in Argentina, before returning home to take on the Springboks in Auckland next Saturday.
All Blacks: Beauden Barrett, Emoni Narawa, Reiko Ioane, Jordie Barrett, Caleb Clarke, Damian McKenzie, Aaron Smith, Ardie Savea, Sam Cane (captain), Shannon Frizell, Josh Lord, Scott Barrett, Tyrel Lomax, Diane Coles, Ethan de Groot. Reserves: Codie Taylor, Ofa Tu’ungafasi, Nepo Laulala, Tupou Vaa’i, Dalton Papali’i, Finlay Christie, Richie Mo’unga, Braydon Ennor.
