All-inclusive ski resorts in the US where you can hit the slopes this season

The Ranch at Rock Creek is an all-ages luxury ranch getaway nestled in the wilds of Montana.

Guests have their pick of two activities included daily. In winter, options include snowmobiling, ice skating and cross-country skiing. Downhill skiing is also available just a 35-minute drive away at the Discovery Ski Area. The ski area features 67 trails and almost no lift lines.

Rates cover the equipment, transportation, lift tickets and lunch at the Discovery Ski Area dining area and bar, making this a truly all-inclusive winter experience.

Back on the ranch, visitors will find a spa, kids club activities and gourmet multicourse meals that come with premium wine, beer and spirits.

Club Med Québec Charlevoix

Québec Charlevoix is Club Med’s first — but not last — mountain resort in North America. Located about four hours from Montreal in an area with 21 feet of annual snowfall, this is where you will find that quintessential all-inclusive ski resort experience.

The resort has a ski-out location, and it features 302 rooms in addition to dozens of larger suites. The price tag includes everything from meals and bar drinks to ski instruction, plus 30 on- and off-mountain activities and access to the children’s club for age-appropriate entertainment for little ones 4 months to 17 years old. Ski equipment does cost extra, though.

Don’t worry if you want a break from mountain sports, as there is also a circus school and many other activities to enjoy.

Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge 

Alta, Utah

Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge is a family-friendly resort that has been around since the 1960s. During that time, it has attracted many repeat guests who come to ski, talk about skiing and ski again the next day.

It’s not the fanciest option (reserve the two-bedroom North Suite if you want to avoid more basic rooms), but it’s about as close as you can be to the lifts without sleeping on the snow.

A buffet-style breakfast and dinner are included; there are rotating entree options such as steak, salmon, chicken, brisket burgers and fettuccine. Goldminer’s Daughter has a bar and some pay-to-eat lunch options, too, along with a workout room, an activity room and a spa. All of these inclusions exist to ensure guests can focus on skiing and enjoying all that Alta has to offer.

Triple Creek Ranch

Darby, Montana

About 90 minutes from Missoula, Montana, sits Triple Creek Ranch. There, you’ll find an adults-only luxury stay that is about as close to an all-inclusive ski experience as you can find in the U.S.

Your gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner are included; rates also cover snacks, drinks and individually packaged to-go breakfasts and lunches for when you’re out exploring. The ranch has a long list of included amenities and activities — one of which is downhill skiing.

At Triple Creek Ranch, you can enjoy transfers, lift tickets and equipment rentals for Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Resort, which is on the Continental Divide just 30 minutes away. This ski resort is home to more than 50 runs, 8,000-plus feet of elevation and an average snowfall of 300 inches per year.

Alta Lodge

Alta, Utah

Alta Lodge is a classic — it even has a ski bar (The Sitzmark Club) that dates back to the 1940s.

You might not find TVs in the guest rooms, but you will find ski-out fun with frills like afternoon tea. Not to mention, parents can sit back and relax while their children enjoy the kids club. The club will take tots to their lessons in the morning and feed and entertain them at night. On top of that, kids can actually stay free during the quieter parts of the ski season.

The included breakfast provides cooked-to-order eggs, a hot buffet and housemade pastries. Meanwhile, the covered dinner has four courses, with multiple main entree options every day, such as lamb with crispy polenta cakes and wild Alaskan halibut.

While the rooms aren’t said to be the most updated, reviews here are generally very good and there is a loyal following of return guests. From the hot pools and the meals to the free morning yoga, Alta Lodge is made for those who want to focus on skiing but still crave a few classic ski lodge luxuries between runs.

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort

Highland, New York

Fun is the name of the game at Rocking Horse Ranch. This all-inclusive resort has the longest mountain snow tubing run in the Northeast. Guests can also enjoy complimentary ice skating on the resort’s rink and splash around at its large indoor water park. That’s just the tip of the iceberg at Rocking Horse.

Of course, there are ample opportunities for skiing, too. You won’t have to worry about paying for ski gear, as the rates include it, and there are instructors for those who want to learn how to ski on the “big hill.”

Room rates also cover all meals, including a full breakfast buffet. Lunch offerings consist of a large salad bar and stations that serve fajitas, hamburgers, macaroni and more. A la carte dinner choices include Kansas City strip steak, spare ribs and roasted chicken. Oh, and there’s a dessert bar, so you can indulge after your day on the slopes.

Lone Mountain Ranch

Big Sky, Montana

In winter, Lone Mountain Ranch transforms into a wonderful snowy playground.

The ranch is on a top-rated cross-country trail network, and ski-out Nordic options and a Nordic ski group lesson are included. If you’re searching for downhill ski adventures, the hotel’s staff will drive you just 10 miles away to Big Sky, where skiing is available for an additional charge.

Rates also cover transfers from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), plus three farm-to-table meals a day in the ranch’s Horn & Cantle restaurant. They even include a sleigh ride and dinner at North Folk Cabin.

You can stay in one of the 27 cabins that were restored and renovated in 2016. The ranch uses a text service so you can request your next activity, ride to the mountain or even get morning coffee delivered to your cabin with little effort.

Latigo Ranch

Kremmling, Colorado

When you stay at Latigo Ranch, you have more than 30 miles of machine-groomed cross-country trails at your front door. The ranch offers on-site rentals for skis, boots, poles, snowshoes and pulks to pull the little ones.

About 120 miles northwest of Denver and 80 miles from Vail, this is the place to get away from it all.

For breakfast, you can load up on homemade granola, pancakes, waffles and even house-smoked bacon. At lunchtime, there’s a buffet with options such as pizza, bison burgers and pasta with homemade sauce. Dinner is where all the stops come out: You can sit at the cloth-draped tables and enjoy entrees like grass-fed ribeye and Colorado lamb chops.

Prices at Latigo Ranch are lower than many other all-inclusive ranches that offer skiing, so you can rest easy knowing you won’t have to break the bank to shred powder.

The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch

Saratoga, Wyoming

Brush Creek Ranch has something almost no other resort can claim: its own private downhill ski mountain. An hour from Laramie Regional Airport (LAR) in Wyoming (or less than four hours from Denver), this ranch and its offerings make for the trip of a lifetime.

Your stay includes three meals a day and select wine, spirits and beer, as well as activities such as horseback riding (even in winter), yoga, cross-country skiing, sledding and ice fishing. A children’s program is covered, too. Not to mention, there is an a la carte ski option that you should seriously consider.

At Brush Creek Ranch, you can book a ski experience that takes you 30 minutes away to Green Mountain, where you can ski or snowboard more than 1,100 vertical feet of trails. These trails are only available to Brush Creek guests, and the entrance is capped at 18 guests per day.

With this add-on, you not only get access to the mountain’s private ski runs. Your ski boots will also be waiting for you, warmed by the stove. The experience includes a gourmet lunch on the mountain at Pat’s Porch — the cherry on top of a perfect ski day with all-around outstanding service.
