Hello everyone and welcome to football.london’s live Arsenal blog on Wednesday, April 6.
So far, it hasn’t quite been the best week for Mikel Arteta ‘s Gunners. They at first fell to a shocking 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday – a result that put a significant dent in the club’s hopes of returning to the Champions League next term.
Whilst the result was a damaging one in isolation, there were also some dire consequences that are sure to have a major impact on the remainder of the season. Kieran Tierney was ruled out of the game and it has now been revealed that he is likely to be restricted to the sidelines for the rest of the campaign. Meanwhile, Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both dealing with their own problems.
