Australia vs England, Women’s World Cup 2022 Final Highlights: Australia defeated England by 71 runs to win a record-extending seventh Women’s ODI World Cup title at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Sunday. Natalie Sciver fought a lone battle as she scored a fighting hundred after England Women got off to a worst possible start. England lost Danielle Wyatt and Tammy Beaumont for 4 and 27 runs respectively off Megan Schutt’s bowling early in their run-chase of 357 runs. Heather Knight also departed soon to Alana King for 26 runs while Amy Jones was out for 20 runs. Alana struck back again to dismiss Sophia Dunkley for 23 runs. Batting first, Alyssa Healy played a mesmerising knock of 170 runs as Australia posted 356/5 in 50 overs vs England in the Women’s World Cup Final at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Sunday. After England captain Heather Knight asked Australia to bat, the decision was proved wrong with Rachael Haynes and Healy adding 160 runs for the first wicket. After Haynes departure for 68 runs, Beth Mooney joined the run-fest and completed her half-century before getting out on 62 runs. Anya Shrubsole was the only positive outcome of the innings as the pacer registered figures of 3/46 in 10 overs.
