New York: As part of its annual Back to School Program, ICNA Relief has distributed school bags and supplies to hundreds of children in New York before the end of the summer holidays in educational institutions in US.
School bags and supplies were distributed to hundreds of children in collaboration with the Hamza Mosque in Long Island, New York. The ceremony was attended by various US officials and the candidate for Legislator from Nassau County District 3 Shahryar Ali, officials of ICNA Relief, and children and their parents attended in large numbers.
On this occasion, North East Regional Director ICNA Relief Arshad Jamal said that we have distributed 400 bags with Hamza Mosque’s collaboration.
Various food items were also arranged for the children in the event. On this occasion, the president of the organization of Muslim Professionals Abdul Rahman said that these children are our future, we want to provide better facilities to them.
Nassau County Office Asian American Affairs Executive Director Arooj Islam said that ICNA Relief’s back-to-school program is running successfully, in which a large number of the community members also participate. A lot of hard work is being done by the volunteers.
On this occasion, Chaudhary Akram, Senior Advisor to the County Executive, said that he is grateful to ICNA Relief for starting the Back to School Program.
On this occasion, children also expressed their happiness on receiving school bags.
It should be noted that school bags will be distributed to 50,000 students across the United States under the Back to School program by ICNA Relief, the social organization of Muslims.
