The Delta State Sports Commission has sacked the management of Warri Wolves Football Club led by Comrade Moses Etu with immediate effect.
A statement signed by the chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Tonobok Okowa on Monday September 19, also announced the appointment of Mr. Neville Ambekederemo as new Chairman of the Club .
The new Chairman the statement directed , will oversee the transition from the dissolved management beginning with the handover of all Warri Wolves Football Club properties with immediate effect .
In appreciation of their services whilst in charge of the Warri based club, the State Sports Commission Chairman thanked Comrade Etu and his management for their service over the years and wished them well in their future endeavours.
Comrade Moses Etu has served as Chairman of Warri Wolves on two occasions , and was in charge when the seasiders gained promotion to the NPFL in 2020 .
A single season in the top flight ended with relegation back to the National League .
In the just concluded NNL campaign , Warri Wolves finished behind eventual Group B2 winners Bayelsa United, meaning the seasiders will spend another season in the second tier .
