Chaos has unfolded on a Sydney street after a shooting in the city’s west, with police now searching for a gunman.
Police were called to Esme Ave in Chester Hill at about 4:30pm on Thursday after hearing reports of shots being fired.
Officers found a 48-year-old man suffering “minor injuries” after being shot at.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being released at the scene.
NSW Paramedics confirmed they also treated a woman in her 40s who was suffering from head and back injuries believed to be related to the shooting incident.
She was taken to Bankstown Hospital in a stable condition.
More to come.
