Charlton Women have signed Jorja Fox on loan from Chelsea. The 18-year-old full-back is manager Karen Hill’s first addition of the January transfer window.
The switch is subject to FA approval.
“It feels good to be here,” said Fox. “I’ve watched the team play over the course of the season and I’ve been really impressed with the football they’ve been playing.
“The group is really driven. Karen has created a really good environment, so I’m really excited to be a part of that and I can’t wait to get started.”
Hills added: “Jorja is a fantastic young talent who we have been tracking for a while, so I am really pleased we’ve been able to bring her to Charlton.”
The Addicks ended 2021 on a four-game winning streak.
Owner Thomas Sandgaard said: “I’ve been really impressed with the progress Karen and her team have been making in such a short time after turning professional in July.
“We want to bring in a few players to help us during the January window and Jorja is an excellent addition who is highly rated at Chelsea. I’m looking forward to watching her play in a Charlton shirt.”
The Addicks are at home to Sheffield United on Sunday in the FA Women’s Championship.
