Chippa United continues to bolster their ranks and announced the capture of former Orlando Pirates midfielder Augustine Mulenga.
Mulenga, who also played for AmaZulu in the DStv Premiership, has been captured and joins the Chilli Boys as Chippa are known, on a two-year deal.

The ex-Pirates and Zambia international, Mulenga was playing in the Zambian Super League and the news of his return to South Africa to join Chippa emerged on Thursday morning.

The Gqeberha-based Chippa headed to social media to welcome the Chipolopolo star, Mulenga who comes with a wealth of experience in the Mzansi top flight.

Chippa chairman Siviwe Mpengesi welcomed the talented and former Pirates playmaker, Mulenga via a statement shared on social media and said he hoped he will add value to the club.
Mulenga, a seasoned campaigner, initially arrived in South Africa in 2018 to complete his move to the Buccaneers but he was later shipped out to AmaZulu where he spent a season.

The South African reported that Chippa were reportedly closing in on a former Pirates and AmaZulu attacker who’s believed to be back in the country.
Just ahead of the signing, iDiski Times reported that Mulenga was set to make a sensational return to the PSL in the upcoming season.
Mulenga parted ways with the Durban-based AmaZulu with a broken heart after Usuthu terminated his contract while he was still recovering from a long-term injury.
However, it appeared that the Chilli Boys were keen to give him a lifeline with a one-year deal reported to be on the cards, but he has signed a two-year contract with Chippa.
Over the last four years, Mulenga featured in 106 games for both Pirates and AmaZulu and scored 16 goals with 26 assists next to his name.

Meanwhile, Chippa have also announced the signing of former Pirates winger Craig Martin this week, he has also signed on the dotted line for two seasons.

While the Eastern Cape-based club has been fighting relegation in the past few seasons, it remains to be seen if they will sign more players as they look flirting with demotion to the lower division.
