Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund awarded nearly 400 scholarships for the Spring 2023 semester. To celebrate the single parents’ achievement, communities across the state hosted scholarship ceremonies with workshops, speakers, and snacks.

Hot Springs families enjoyed a fun evening of scholarships, magic, and electrical safety by The Scott Davis Comedy Magic Show, sponsored by Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.
Sixty-four Northeast Arkansas students received goody bags filled with items worth over $130 thanks to the following businesses: Andy’s Frozen Custard, Arvest Bank, Higginbotham Family Dental, Hijinx Family Entertainment Center, Hytrol Conveyor Company, Nice-Pak Products Inc., Post Consumer Brands, Simmons Bank Paragould, St. Bernards Healthcare and Unilever.
University of Central Arkansas professor and single parent Dr. Jen Talbot offered school and life tips to Faulkner County recipients.
St. Francis County families enjoyed positive messages with ceremony treats.
First Financial Bank presented a workshop to single parent scholars and their families with tips about how to become better savers.
Shanell Robbins of Arkansas Construction Education Foundation gave a workshop about how to be a good employee at the Monticello ceremony.
ASPSF Volunteer Rhea Williams presented a financial workshop to Pope County recipients.
Union County single parents learned about TRiO, and how they can receive support from both ASPSF and this federally funded program on many college campuses.
