WA Health reports no cases of COVID-19
The state’s total remains at 1112. There are no active confirmed cases in WA. To date, 1103 people have recovered from the virus in WA.
WA Health is monitoring 114 close and casual contacts who have been to exposure sites in the Northern Territory and Queensland and have recently returned to Western Australia. This comes after several locally acquired cases were detected in those states last week.
To date, 105 people have returned negative test results. Testing of remaining contacts continues.
Effective immediately, anyone who has been at the listed venues at the specified times in Queensland or the Northern Territory are required to self-quarantine for 14 days, get tested immediately (within 48 hours) and at day 12.
People travelling from Darwin, Katherine, Brisbane, Cairns or Goondiwindi areas, who are experiencing any symptoms, even mild, that could be related to COVID-19, should get tested and quarantine until they return a negative test.
