Kick off the school year with Would You Rather: Financial Edition! Get to know your students as they debate tricky choices, like: would you rather have no TV subscriptions or no music subscriptions?
The Activity
Would You Rather: Financial Edition includes an optional slide deck and an answer key with teacher tips.
The activity includes 20 scenarios that prompt student discussion about financial decisions.
- Engaging: Have fun while the class gets to know each other
- Versatile: Find implementation options for any classroom
- No prior knowledge needed: Perfect for the start of the school year
- Preview course content: Guide students to discuss financial tradeoffs they’ll revisit throughout the semester
Implementation
Choose the format that best fits your classroom: you can use these prompts as part of a MOVE activity, to play Jenga, or to play a whole-class polling game.
Get Inspired at the Back to School Conference!
August 24: Kickstart your school year with fresh ideas to engage students, learn the latest finance trends, and collaborate with fellow educators on how to use NGPF lessons and activities.
