Congratulations to Devon Still and his wife, Asha Still, who are expecting a child together. The celebrity couple shared the exciting news with Instagram fans last week.
Devon shared a positive pregnancy test from Clearblue. “Team of 5 coming soon,” Devon exclaimed online. “Looks like we’ll need to be ready to be outnumbered by our kids in a few months – no more man to man defense,” the star athlete said. “We could not be more excited to be growing our family and are grateful for the clear answers from @Clearblue over the years that have helped on our journey. Wish us luck!”
Many remember Asha and Devon Still from their journey through cancer with Devon’s oldest daughter, Leah, a few years back. Leah was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer but exhibited a tenacity to beat the disease that was contagious. Devon received much support from fans and the NFL as the Cincinnati Bengals allowed him to remain employed while he stepped away from the field to tend to his daughter’s needs.
Leah was deemed cancer-free by doctors in 2015. She became a big sister three years ago when Devon and Asha welcomed their first child together, Ari.
“I wanted my first child to be a son because I wanted them to walk in my footsteps and just show them some of the things that I’ve been able to accomplish in the sports world,” Devon shared during a recent interview with ESSENCE. “But since having two girls, they completely changed my life,” the celebrity father shared.
“It doesn’t really matter to me,” Still said of his preferences now that he and his wife are expecting another child. “It would be cool to have a boy because it’d be like, ‘All right, now I get to experience what it’s like to have a son,’” Devon admitted.
“But I’m so in love with my little girls that I wouldn’t mind having another little girl,” the celebrity father continued. “I just want the baby to be healthy.”
