Illinois...Kentucky...Missouri...

Ohio River at Smithland Dam, Paducah, Olmsted Lock and Dam and
Cairo.

.The Ohio River from Smithland to Cairo will either crest by
tomorrow and hold steady through the end of the week, or just hold
steady through Friday.  River levels at all points will start to
fall more significantly over the weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

forecast.

* WHERE...Ohio River at Paducah.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday, April 23.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 48.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 48.5
feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage Wednesday, April 23.
- Flood stage is 39.0 feet.
